Chris McGowan is the Founder of Dos Anillos Sports, a boutique advisory firm helping sports properties, ownership groups, agencies, investors, and emerging companies accelerate growth and navigate complex strategic and commercial opportunities.

McGowan brings more than 30 years of leadership experience across the NHL, MLS, NBA, NFL, and MLB. Since founding Dos Anillos Sports in 2025, he has advised Major League Soccer and played a central role in building Hometown Soccer Holdings, a KKR- and MLS-backed venture launching professional soccer clubs in new markets. His work has included organizational development and executive recruiting, commercial strategy, technology and data planning, and major ticketing, retail, and operating partnerships.

Through Dos Anillos, McGowan has also advised sports technology, marketing, and emerging-growth companies—including StellarAlgo, WolfCycle AI, Good Sports Creative, Koomba, and TourScout—on market expansion, strategic partnerships, fundraising, fan data, and commercialization. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Moda Health and supports the University of Delaware’s Center for AI and Sports Analytics.

Before founding Dos Anillos, McGowan served as Major League Soccer’s Chief Club Performance Officer, leading efforts to strengthen club strategy, establish best practices, and develop performance metrics across the league. His previous leadership roles included President and CEO of Ilitch Sports & Entertainment, CEO of Vulcan Sports & Entertainment, and Chief Operating Officer of AEG Sports. Across those organizations, he helped lead championship-winning teams, record-setting business performance, major venue projects, and some of the most respected organizations in professional sports.

McGowan was named to SportsBusiness Journal’s “40 Under 40” class in 2012 and was recognized as the Portland Business Journal’s “Business Executive of the Year” in 2017.
